London City Hall Greens
Together with London’s communities, the City Hall Greens put environmental and social justice at the heart of building a better city for every Londoner.
Green Priorities at City Hall
Making the case for a car-free London
Greens believe no Londoner should be forced to own a car to navigate our incredible city. As a member of the Assembly’s Transport Committee, Caroline has turned her attention to ensuring the Mayor fulfils his own Transport Strategy, meeting targets such as 80 per cent of journeys to be made by walking cycling and public transport by 2041 by building more cycle lanes and pedestrian crossings, funding more bus routes, and prioritising people over cars on London’s streets. Read more about the Green Group’s transport scrutiny here.

Scrutinising the Metropolitan Police
Following Caroline’s tenure as Chair of the Police and Crime Committee, Zoë is focusing on protecting youth services, disability hate crime, disproportionately in policing and reducing drug harm. To dive deeper, read the Green report with the Police Committee, Preventing violence and protecting young people.

Building more toilets across the TfL network
After years of campaigning, Caroline won a recurring £3 million investment in TfL toilets from the Mayor in the 2024 Budget negotiations. Read her landmark London Loo League Table report to see how many ‘loo deserts’ remain across London.

Creating safer roads for all Londoners
In 2023, nearly 4,000 Londoners were either injured or killed on London’s roads. The City Hall Greens believe no Londoner should have to risk their life to pop out for a pint of milk or drop a child off at school. Follow along as Caroline travels across London spotlighting dangerous junctions in need of safe pedestrian crossings.

Advocating for safe, stable housing for every Londoner
The City Hall Greens believe every Londoner deserves safe, stable housing. Working closely with campaigners, renters unions, and tenants’ rights organisations, the Greens have published numerous reports on London’s missing affordable homes, the right to co-op for private renters, and the reality of estate resident ballots. Read more about Siân Berry’s push to Buy the Supply and create new council homes from existing units.

Protecting London’s markets
Under increasing threat from developers and private landlords, Zoë and the City Hall Greens are committed to protecting London’s historic markets for traders, locals, and tourists alike. Watch Zack confront the Mayor directly over a 2023 police raid on Dalston’s Ridley Road Market.

Preparing London for the climate disaster
Read Zack’s 2023 report, A gender and intersectionality responsive climate adaptation plan for London, where he lays out the need to connect with every community that will be affected by the unfolding reality of the climate crisis.

Championing clean air for every Londoner
Zack believes every Londoner, whether you live in Wimbledon or Whitechapel, should grow up with clean air and protected green space. That’s why he has championed closing London City Airport, placing a ban on private jets across London, and improving pollution monitoring. Read more in Zack’s 2022 Environment Committee report, Clean Air for all Londoners.

Opening up City Hall
City Hall should be a space where all of London can come together for a conference, a roundtable, or even an evening of theatre. Watch a recap from Zack’s sponsored event, Hello London!, the first theatrical production in the new City Hall by the Royal Docks.
